Community guides must have a good knowledge of the Swedish societal system, including laws and regulations. They need strong communication and educational skills to be able to explain complex information in an easily understandable way. Empathy, patience, and cultural awareness are also important qualities in the profession. Common competencies demanded by employers are kundtjänst, integrationsfrågor and beteendevetenskap.
