About the role

They design and implement treatment plans, which may include eye exercises and the use of aids. Follow-up and evaluation of the treatment's effectiveness is an important part of their work.Skills and tools
Orthoptists must have a good knowledge of diagnostic methods and treatment techniques for visual disorders. They use tools such as vision screening devices, prism glasses, and specialized computer programs. Communication skills and educational proficiency are central to instructing and supporting patients.
