About the role
Scaffolding apprentices are in training to become fully-fledged scaffolders. They work under the supervision of experienced scaffolders and learn the trade through practical experience on the job site. The training can be combined with studies at a vocational school or through an apprenticeship program.Responsibilities
Scaffolding apprentices assist with assembling and disassembling scaffolds at construction sites. They ensure that safety regulations are followed and that the scaffolds are stable and safe for use. The apprentices also participate in the transport and storage of scaffolding materials.Skills and tools
Scaffolding apprentices develop skills in using tools such as hammers, wrenches, and leveling instruments. They learn to read and understand blueprints as well as basic safety principles. Physical strength and good balance are important qualities in the profession.
