Paratransit drivers are responsible for safely and punctually transporting their passengers to their desired destinations. They assist with boarding and alighting and ensure that the passengers' journey is as comfortable as possible. Following traffic rules and adapting driving to the passengers' needs is central to their work.Skills and tools
Paratransit drivers must have good driving skills, be service-oriented, and have the ability to handle various assistive devices. They often use specially adapted vehicles equipped with, for example, ramps and lifts. Knowledge of first aid and the ability to handle emergency situations are also important.
