Assistance assessors, also known as social services managers, work within municipal social services and assess individuals' needs for support and help. They often have a degree in social work or another relevant higher education in social work. Assistance assessors are responsible for conducting investigations, assessing needs, and making decisions about interventions according to the Social Services Act. They collaborate with healthcare providers, relatives, and other stakeholders to create a comprehensive picture of the client's situation. They often use various administrative systems for documentation and case management. Empathy, communication skills, and decision-making are central skills in the profession.
