At Prevas in Gothenburg, there is a group specialized in developing robust, reliable, and customized system support for production. The work is often carried out in project form and can vary in both focus and size.Your role will be to work together with other developers to find solutions and create efficient support for industrial processes. Here, you will use your knowledge in .NET and your understanding of system integration to identify needs and establish requirements specifications. You will participate in everything from technical feasibility studies, design, development, and installation to support, maintenance, further development, and software management for efficient production. In broad terms, you can say that you will work with both system engineering and programming.In your work, you will be supported by colleagues such as Olle, Björn, Martin, Robert, Elisabeth, and Niclas.

Skills

To fit the role, you need to have a Master's/Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least five years of experience in development and delivery of IT solutions within critical operations. It would be great if you also have knowledge of .NET, SQL Server, and Oracle Server. Additionally, if you understand system integration and can apply various data exchange methods, it's a big plus.

Your commitment and great interest in technology is what motivates you to find new solutions and provide effective support. It's good if you have an easy time communicating, interacting with others, and recognize yourself in qualities such as customer-oriented and solution-oriented. Active environmental choices

Prevas sorts their waste at the office and primarily travels by train when travel is necessary. They also have an environmental focus when purchasing products and services for the office, as well as for conferences, events, and staff gatherings. Sustainability is the red thread in everything Prevas does, and even though small means are important, Prevas' real sustainability work happens through the work they do with their customers. Both internal and external work is done in coordination with their sustainability calendar, where different months have different theme areas that reflect one or more of the UN's goals in Agenda 2030. This includes, among other things, reduced environmental impact, social health, circular societies, equality, and overconsumption of the Earth's resources.

Diversity

Currently, about a quarter of Prevas employees are women, but the company is actively working in several ways to increase that number, not only within the company but also in the industry as a whole. They engage in various female networking conferences and sponsor a dinner, held by Chalmers, for young female engineers. They also work to increase ethnic diversity within the company as it is seen as an important point for improvement.

Personal development

Personal development is an important issue for Prevas, and it is something that they continuously follow up with their employees on. They prefer that their employees stay at the forefront of various competencies, making development an important part of their work. All employees at the company receive individual development plans where there are great opportunities for development.
