Experienced frontend developer for one of Gothenburg's largest corporations. Use your skills to drive the company's frontend development forward and become part of the team that offers the best digital experience to internal customers in both Sweden and Europe.
Hedin IT is the department that supports the entire Hedin group with digital services such as support, operations and system development, and shapes how the entire group works with IT. Now there are several skilled and experienced frontend developers who want to work with modern technologies in an industry that is in a changing time where digitalization is really taking off.
As a frontend developer at Hedin IT, you are involved in developing smart services in modern architecture, including large projects in e-commerce and web development. With your solid knowledge, you build advanced frontend applications primarily in Javascript and React.js with API-based architectures that are used by several companies in the group. At Hedin IT, you will work in cross-functional teams and projects where you collaborate with backend/frontend developers, product owners, architects, and UX/UI designers. From the start, your closest colleagues will be Nicklas, Magnus, Arthur, and Kai.

What we’re looking for

Skills
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience as a frontend developer, have good experience with development in React.js, Javascript and HTML/CSS, as well as a basic understanding of the technologies you work with. If you also have experience with, for example, REST APIs, Pre/post processors and AWS or Azure, this is a big plus. For this role, you will use both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, so you should be comfortable with both languages at a higher work-related level.

Active environmental choices
At Hedin IT and the entire Hedin group, they actively work to reduce their environmental impact and focus mainly on the significant areas they have identified. The most environmentally impactful activities in the business are primarily related to energy consumption, transportation, management of hazardous waste and waste fractions and chemical management. To reduce their environmental impact, they work preventively with education of their employees, together with clear and documented procedures.
Diversity
Currently, Hedin IT, at least among developers, is mostly males, which is something they find unfortunate but is almost unavoidable due to the shortage of women in the tech industry. However, the company as a whole has a greater diversity, with other departments such as marketing and service desk having a majority of women. Overall, compared to the industry as a whole, Hedin IT has a decent mix. The age and origin diversity in the company is better and represents a broader range of backgrounds, with several ethnicities represented and an age range that spans from 20 to 60 years old.

Location

Hedin IT's newly built headquarters are located at Betagatan 2 in Mölndal, south of Gothenburg. Here, several departments within the Hedin Mobility Group will be gathered to work on IT, support, operations, and system development. The headquarters is almost 15,000 square meters in size and includes offices, conference rooms, a restaurant and café, lounge areas, a gym, and group exercise rooms.For those who drive to work, the office is easily accessible from the major roads around Gothenburg. If you prefer to use public transportation, several buses in the surrounding area can take you to hubs such as Marklandsgatan, Mölndal Centrum, and Heden in central Gothenburg within 15-30 minutes. Parking for both bicycles and cars is available outside the office.
