Experienced developer who is particularly passionate about C# and wants to work with the latest technology and achieve transformation of large companies' supply chains.

Optimity is the consulting company that helps companies like Orkla and Snackbrands optimize their supply chains - all the way from the tomato grower's plantation to the ketchup bottle in the consumer's shopping cart. Now they are looking for a skilled developer who is truly passionate about C# development and who wants to use their knowledge to create and maintain software that is easy to implement and use, but also powerful enough to optimize the most challenging supply chains.

As a developer at Optimity, your primary tasks are to develop and test new features and maintain existing ones. You do this primarily in C# in an efficient and scalable way. Here you get the chance to really dive deep into C# and .NET and thus be a support for other developers. You will have daily contact with both business consultants and other developers and collaborate with them throughout the development process. You become part of an agile team consisting of developers, product owners, and other key personnel within the company where your knowledge and experience will carry weight. You will have an advisory role and the opportunity to influence technical decisions as well as coach other colleagues. Your closest colleagues will be developers Andreas, Atheek, Kjell, and Lars who will support you on a daily basis until you feel completely confident in your new role.

Skills

As a developer at Optimity, you should have several years of experience in development, preferably fullstack but primarily C#, and feel comfortable with these tasks. It is also desirable if you have experience with relational databases and SQL as well as an interest in learning about the company's products and services. In addition to this, you should be fluent in English as it will be the dominant language within the work group.

Personal Qualities

To succeed in this role, it is positive if you have a strong personal drive and get a boost from coming up with creative solutions. You also enjoy delving deep into what you do and take pride in what you deliver. If you also enjoy working in a multicultural work environment, you have come to the right place.

Optimity has 24 employees in Sweden where about 20% are women. They strive to have a good mix of genders but are aware of the ongoing problem with a lack of women in the tech industry and how that affects the amount of women getting employed. All employees at the Swedish office have Swedish background but since the company also has offices in the US, Australia and Singapore, the mix of ethnicities at the company as a whole is much larger. The correct competence is what drives all decisions regarding who gets employed at Optimity. Gender, age or ethnicity does not have significance and they hope to achieve a good mix by keeping this up.

Optimity works with optimization of complex supply chains in different companies . The companies are usually food companies that need help optimizing stock and logistics to make sure more products get to their destination in time and are sold in time before it reaches its expiration date, which further leads to less wasted products and lower CO2 emissions.

Personal development

At Optimity they have a positive attitude towards their employees evolving in their work through ideas and own initiatives and welcomes all employees to learn new topics and areas within the application. All new employees at Optimity go through an introduction where different relevant people at the companies hold short training sessions to help the newcomer. The first instruction is done with James in Australia to get a general feel of the company. This is later followed by one on one sessions where you’ll learn different parts of the application and get to meet the developers working with said parts.

Location

Optimitys office in Stockholm, which is the company's head office in Europe, is located on Mäster Samuelsgatan 3 in the center of the city. On the 4th floor of the building, a total of 15 employees sit in bright and modern premises as they work with different areas within development and consulting, especially application.The office is located right next to Östermalmstorg and the central location makes it easy to get to and from the office with bus and subway, but also by bike if you prefer that. Here you have a bunch of nice restaurants and cafes suitable for both lunch and afternoon coffee just around the corner, as well as some great spots for after work in the evening.
