About the role
Social workers work with people in various difficult life situations and contribute to social change, problem solving, and empowerment. They often have an academic education at the college level, usually a degree in social work. Social workers can be employed within the public sector, private organizations, or non-profit associations.Responsibilities

Social workers must have good skills in conversation techniques, crisis intervention, and be able to apply various social theories and methods. They often use administrative systems for documentation and follow-up of cases. Empathy, patience, and the ability to handle stress are important personal qualities.
