About the role
Orthodontic assistants work closely with orthodontists to assist in treatments related to teeth straightening. They often have completed vocational training in dental care and further education in orthodontics. Their role is to facilitate the work of the orthodontist and ensure that patients receive good and efficient care.Responsibilities
Orthodontic assistants prepare the treatment room, tools, and materials for patient visits. They assist the orthodontist during treatment and may also handle certain parts of the treatment themselves. Post-treatment tasks, such as cleaning and sterilizing instruments, are also part of their responsibilities.
