About the role
Integration officers work to facilitate the establishment of newcomers in Swedish society. They collaborate with other actors such as schools, employment agencies, and healthcare institutions. They also provide information and advice to newcomers about Swedish society and the labor market.Skills and tools
Integration officers need good knowledge of Swedish and often additional languages. They must be well-versed in Swedish legislation and the systems related to migration and integration. Communication skills, empathy, and cultural awareness are central competencies in the profession. Common competencies demanded by employers are integrationsfrågor, beteendevetenskap and arbetsmarknadsfrågor.
