Syntach is an innovative startup with a clear goal of making a big difference in the medtech industry. Here they work to develop and produce a medical pump unit for the heart that can prolong the life of people with heart failure. Now they’re looking for someone who is passionate about medtech and wants to be responsible for the company's QA.
In this role you’ll work with a new method for cardiac support that is based on human physiology and state-of-the-art research. Your main task will be to ensure that all software development takes place in accordance with the regulations. Here you collaborate with a well-educated and creative team with high ambitions to change the industry. You will work with documentation and software applications according to IEC 62304 and ISA 13485 etc. This includes software at all different levels - from embedded to backend and frontend.For now, 15 people work with different parts of product development and you can count on having competent colleagues at an arm's length distance. Among these you will find the technical manager Daniel and the developers André and Bo, as well as Victoria who is the quality manager.

Skills
For this role it's preferable if you have a degree in a relevant tech field, experience with C or python programming and experience working with medical technology before. If you are familiar with regulations such as ISA 13485, IEC 62304 and IEC 60601, it’s a big plus. As some if not all communication at the company is in English, it is good if you have knowledge of the language, both in terms of speech and writing. Personal Qualities
To really ace this role it’s preferable if you have an unpretentious way of working and like to work with others towards a common goal. If you also have a deep love for medical technology and want to be involved and make a real difference for your fellow human beings, this is the role for you. Besides this, you need to have an open mindset about animal testing since Syntachs product will be tested on animals before it’s ever tried on a human. Syntach executes this within the swedish and european laws regarding animal testing but its useful if you also have your own knowledge about the laws so you can support your work with evidence if needed.Interested in this job?

To take care of new and existing staff, Syntach offers personal development on several different levels. All employees have annual meetings where competence development in the role is discussed. For new employees, an introduction period is applied to ensure that they get a smooth and pedagogical start at the company. This is later followed by work in groups with mixed experiences and competence levels.Location
Syntachs office is located on the first floor in an office complex on Traktorvägen 6C in Lund. Here, 15 employees who work as developers, managers and copywriters have their base. The premise is newly renovated with a fresh and modern feel and is customized for Syntachs business. There is a mix of open co working spaces and more private conference rooms. There's also a workshop for prototype development in a separate building. The central location makes it easy to get to and from the office. With a bus or bike you can get to the city center in under 15 minutes. From there you have plenty of bus options to take you around town as well as train options if you need to go further from the city.
