As an infrastructure specialist at HEM, you will become a key player in our infrastructure area. You will work closely with our network architect and our infrastructure technicians to ensure that our IT infrastructure is stable, secure, and prepared for future needs.

You are entering a stage where a lot of exciting things are happening. A significant part of the time is spent building our OT network from scratch and ensuring it is secure from the start. The daily work alternates between managing routing, switching, and network segmentation in our Layer 2 environment, working on our firewalls and WLAN solutions, as well as operating server platforms and virtualization.You will be involved when new infrastructure solutions take shape, from early design to their actual deployment, and document along the way so the rest of the team can build on what you have done.Beyond the technical aspects, you will be someone colleagues gladly turn to, sharing your experience, being a sounding board for tricky questions, and providing support for those newer to the profession.The team works in an open office environment where there is a high level of openness and a good atmosphere with both laughter and a clear sense of teamwork within the group.

Skills

To thrive in the role, you have at least 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure with a focus on networking. Preferably from more than one environment, for example by having changed workplaces or worked as a consultant. You see the big picture, how networking, servers, identity management, and security are interconnected, and you are comfortable with routing, switching, and network segmentation. You are used to documenting and working with good structure. Experience in driving a solution from design to implementation, or a certification in, for example, Cisco, Fortinet, or Azure, is advantageous.

Location

Halmstads Energi och Miljö's headquarters is located at Svartalundsvägen 2, between Halmstad city center and the Flygstaden commercial area. In an open and cozy office environment, 140 employees work in various fields, including Distribution, Finance, Sales, IT, HR, and Communication.The office is easily accessible by car, bus, bike, and on foot, with less than 15 minutes from central Halmstad. Both the Flygstaden commercial area and the city center offer plenty of nice lunch spots, but you also have the option to order lunch delivered directly to the office.The position is security classified, which means, for example, that a background check is conducted in connection with employment.
