Curious and easy-going IT Data Center Specialist to international company in the automotive industry. At Geely Business Center you will work with the infrastructure in a flat organization with a relaxed atmosphere.

The company is the owner of car giants such as Volvo Car Group and Lotus Cars. Geely’s Gothenburg-based competence center Geely Business Center is now looking for you – a curious IT Data Center Specialist who wants to expand your skills and become a part of a familiar workplace.

At Geely Business Center, your main task will be to plan and build the company’s data center infrastructure. You will also help to educate 1st and 2nd line in advanced troubleshooting and be an important resource in projects and deliveries within the data center, both internally and to customers. You take lead for planning of updates and security updates for the devices that are related to the delivery and work with sizing in the area to meet the needs. In collaboration with other teams you will be responsible for the delivery of both updates and upgrades. The role also includes some documentation and knowledge base articles. At Geely, you will be part of the IT operations team. In your daily work you will be supported by colleagues such as Patrik, Claes, Joakim and Jesper.Geely Business Center is located in Geely’s new-built innovation center Uni3 on Lindholmen in Gothenburg. Here you work in a flat organization with all functions on the same floor.

What we’re looking for

Skills

To fit the role, you need either a university degree in IT or 5 years of equivalent work experience. You have worked for at least a couple of years in the field where you have gained experience in server and storage solutions as well as various technologies. Perhaps you have worked with server deployment automation (Ansible and Terraform), handled server orders (virtual servers) from business and IT and worked in the server desk as 3rd line for server-related tasks.Hopefully you are fluent in English as it is the main language at the company.

Location

The Swedish part of Geely is located in Gothenburg in Uni3 by Geely at Pumpgatan 1 in Lindholmen which currently houses several Geely companies, such as CEVT, Geely Design and Lynk & Co. Geely's Swedish holding company and group functions are also located in the main building. The campus consists of 5 buildings built with the five elements wood, fire, earth, metal and water as inspiration combined with the Swedish glass heritage. In the various buildings, you will find, among other things, offices/workplaces, an auditorium, a design studio, cafés & restaurants, an open courtyard and a hotel. You can easily get to Geely's office by both car, bus, ferry or bicycle. The office's local location on Lindholmen opens up the possibilities to get into town or further out on Hisingen with several different modes of transportation.
