Experienced developer with solid experience in Angular for an international company on an exciting growth journey. At Optimity you will help optimize the supply chains of international household names such as Orkla and Snackbrands – all the way from the tomato farmers plantation to the ketchup bottle in the consumer's shopping basket.

Optimity is a consulting company with the mission to optimize complex commodity flows of company’s supply chains. It was founded in Sydney but has offices in Singapore, USA, New Zealand and Sweden. The company is now looking for several talented developers who want to work with the latest technology within frontend. And perhaps that's you.

The purpose of Optimity is to optimize supply chains and your mission will be to make sure the process is working in a flexible and sustainable way. Teamed up with other developers you will be working with a software that is easy to implement and use, but also powerful enough to optimize the most challenging supply chains. To date, both local and international household names rely on Optimity for their success. Your main role will be to maintain and develop a new structure to frontend but also to transfer the old structure to the new one. What this means in practice depends on where your talent lies and what you have previous experiences with. But what’s certain is that you will be working with Angular 8 and automatic testing. You will be part of an agile team consisting of developers, product managers and other key figures within the company. One of these people is James – a skilled system developer with a great sense of humor. He is based in Australia and will be holding the introduction on your first day at work. In addition to James, you will work closely with developers such as Andreas, Atheek, Kjell and Lars, who all work from different parts of the world. You also get the freedom to choose where you want to work, whether it's in Sweden or abroad. Regardless of distance, the team will support you on a daily basis until you feel completely confident in your new role.

Skills

As a developer at Optimity, it is preferred that you have at least 5 years of work experience in the developer role, along with solid knowledge of automated testing and Angular 8 or a later version. In addition to this, fluent English skills are required as it will be the dominant language within the workgroup.

Optimity has 24 employees in Sweden where about 20% are women. They strive to have a good mix of genders but are aware of the ongoing problem with a lack of women in the tech industry and how that affects the amount of women getting employed. All employees at the Swedish office have Swedish background but since the company also has offices in the US, Australia and Singapore, the mix of ethnicities at the company as a whole is much larger. The correct competence is what drives all decisions regarding who gets employed at Optimity. Gender, age or ethnicity does not have significance and they hope to achieve a good mix by keeping this up.

The companies are usually food companies that need help optimizing stock and logistics to make sure more products get to their destination in time and are sold in time before it reaches its expiration date, which further leads to less wasted products and lower CO2 emissions.

All new employees at Optimity go through an introduction where different relevant people at the companies hold short training sessions to help the newcomer. This is later followed by one on one sessions where you’ll learn different parts of the application and get to meet the developers working with said parts.

Location

Optimitys office in Stockholm, which is the company's head office in Europe, is located on Mäster Samuelsgatan 3 in the center of the city. On the 4th floor of the building, a total of 15 employees sit in bright and modern premises as they work with different areas within development and consulting, especially application.The office is located right next to Östermalmstorg and the central location makes it easy to get to and from the office with bus and subway, but also by bike if you prefer that. Here you have a bunch of nice restaurants and cafes suitable for both lunch and afternoon coffee just around the corner, as well as some great spots for after work in the evening.
